The Ford Transit Model package includes both the high detail scan package and a Parasolid CAD file for the interior cargo surfaces. The scan data includes the interior, exterior, and undercarriage surfaces while the CAD file only covers the rear cargo area.
 
The CAD modeled area is simplified to only the major features. Rapid3D recommends utilizing the included mesh file for fine details such as the location of factory mounting holes. This is an as-built model utilizing Rapid3D acquired 3D scan data and Rapid3D makes no guarantee on the accuracy of the model compared to vehicles other than the one scanned.
 
This package is ideal for upfitters, conversion companies, and enthusiasts looking to design parts for this popular platform.
 
Additional modelling can be completed at additional cost

  • The scan data covers the entire interior and exterior body, while the CAD data (STEP surfaces) is limited to the rear interior cargo area. The scan files are segmented and aligned, and include both high- and low-resolution meshes (STL) for the body and doors. The STEP model file is built from the scan data and includes most major surfaces and features. 

     

    The CAD modeled area is simplified, focusing only on the major features. Rapid3D recommends using the included mesh file for fine details. This is an as-built model using 3D scan data acquired by Rapid3D. However, please note that Rapid3D cannot guarantee the accuracy of the model for vehicles other than the one that was scanned.

It's important to ensure that you have the appropriate software and hardware required to effectively utilize the files to their fullest potential.
